KIYA – a tradition of strictness
Kia’s knife shop was first opened in 1792 by the swordsmith, the master Isuka Kato, who over the years followed him in a long line of great swordsmiths.
Although the store soon became an empire of products for the Japanese food industry, Kia jealously maintained a place of honor in the field of knives and sees it as the source of her main pride.
The master “Izuka Kaibo” is today responsible for the continuation of Kia’s glorious tradition and is responsible for the premium series that are produced by hand today.
Alongside the handmade series, Kia established a factory that produces high-quality knives based on traditional knowledge and a combination of advanced technology.
